فقد تم بيع النظارة ذات الإطار المموه، الاسبوع الماضي، بمبلغ 6000 جنيه استرليني (8000 دولار)، أي أكثر من ثلاثة أضعاف السعر المتوقع.
وأقيم المزاد العلني بالقرب من تشارتويل، وهو عقار ريفي لتشرشل يقع جنوب شرق لندن.
وقالت دار مزادات كاثرين سوثون أوكشنيرز آند فاليورز إنه كان “مزادا شرسا” عبر الهاتف والإنترنت.
وكان تشرشل، الذي توفي في 1965، مهتما بالنظارات المميزة جنبا إلى جنب مع القبعات الفاخرة وربطات العنق المزركشة والسيجار الجيد.
